Marina's 3rd Birthday

Our little girl turned 3 on Wednesday! Grandma Margie was in town, so we decided to have a girls day out.

The weather was beautiful, so we started the day at the park with Jenn, Gavin, Griffin, Papa and Grandma.

After dropping Caden off at school, the girls headed to Greenwood for our day of fun. We began at Build-a-Bear where Marina picked a bunny to stuff and dress.

Here she is pressing the pedal to put stuffing in her bunny. She thought this was pretty cool.

And here is the final product . . . "Lilly" as Marina named her. Lilly has her own cell phone, and another outfit. A little ridiculous if you ask me . . . but Marina loved it.

After building her bunny, and shopping at the Disney Store, we took a break for cookies and "lemolade" at Paradise Bakery and Cafe. If you haven't been, you should definitely go soon. Their cookies are sooooooo good. I bought a dozen and after tasting them all (is that sad?) I would have to say my favorite were the snickerdoodle. Here is Marina with her green sugar cookie.

We then stopped at one of the mall nail shops and asked if they might be willing to paint Marina's toenails and fingernails. She thought this was the COOLEST thing ever, and of course chose a hideous purple for her fingers and hot pink for her toes.

She sat perfectly still and was very serious the entire time.

After her first mani/pedi, we headed to pick Caden up and take him to baseball practice. After practice, we went to dinner at Chili's where Marina got a very pretty dress from Papa and Grandma.

Marina kept saying over and over "I am having such a fun day". She was so sweet, and completely worn out by the time dinner was over. I still can't believe my little girl is three years old, and will start preschool this fall . . . but I'm not going to get myself started on that :)
